Urban Forestry

The Co-op would like to introduce our new Urban Forester, Pam Corder.

Pam has experience with planting, caring and identifying trees as a procurement agent for a plant nursery in Rosser and in her landscaping business. She is also a certified Master Gardener in Kaufman County.

The Urban Forestry Program is a 2008 grant funded program by the Texas Forestry Service. Pam will be training county precinct crews and city public workers in proper pruning, tree assessment, identifying tree species as well as any deseases that might be apparent in trees throughout the county. She will also be planting trees at city and county locations. We are hoping to be able to get several of our cities to be Tree City USA cities.
