Brush and Mulch No larger than 4” in diameter and 8’ in length; no wire or nails. Wood chips available free of charge from the Delphine St. recycling location.

Precinct 4 – Kaufman County Eco-Station

Located on US 175 and Plainview Drive

Coupons (permits) are required to dispose of trash. Cost of disposal is based on size of load. Coupons must be obtained prior to hauling. Minimum charge for disposal is $7.50

Free Disposal of Recyclables

Kaufman County promotes and encourages the disposal of recyclable products at the Kaufman County Convenience Stations, the newest of which is the Kemp ECO-Station in the southern sector of the County.
Some of the items that will be accepted at the ECO-Station are:

  • Aluminum
  • Cardboard (No waxed cardboard accepted. Please break down boxes before placing them in container.)
  • Batteries (car, lithium, and rechargeable)
  • Eye Glasses
  • Glass bottles
  • Metal
  • Motor Oil and oil filters
  • Newspaper, shredded paper, office paper, magazines and junk mail
  • Plastics #1 and #2 (look for national recycling symbol with number on bottom of bottles)
  • Tires—limit 4 tires per person per day
  • Tin—household food cans must be rinsed.
